This past weekend was a joyful and encouraging time at CBTS as the seminary hosted two events: the 2026 Graduation Ceremony and a 3-day in-person modular class.
2026 Graduation Ceremony
On Friday evening, CBTS held its 2026 Graduation Ceremony, celebrating 22 graduates who completed their studies. The commencement address was delivered by Dr. Tim Decker, a language professor at CBTS and a Pastor of Trinity Reformed Baptist Church in Roanoke, Virginia. The evening was a joyful time of thanksgiving and celebration as faculty, family, friends, and fellow students gathered to rejoice in God’s faithfulness in the lives of these graduates.
2026 May Module – Counseling and the Local Church
From Friday, May 22 through Monday, May 25, students gathered for the class Counseling and the Local Church, taught by Dr. Jared Poulton, Executive Director of the Institute for Reformed Biblical Counseling (IRBC). The course provided an overview of biblical counseling principles within the life and ministry of the local church, with special attention given to spiritual growth, church ministry, and the development of counseling ministries in a biblical church context.
We give thanks to God for this fruitful time of in-person instruction, fellowship, and celebration. We also rejoice in His grace in the lives of our graduates, and we pray for the Lord’s continued blessing upon their future service in Christ’s church.
