Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary is pleased to announce the launch of CBTS Press, a new publishing initiative dedicated to biblical and theological scholarship within the historic Reformed Baptist tradition.
Established in partnership with Broken Wharfe, CBTS Press will publish works that combine academic excellence with a pastoral heart. Its publications will serve pastors, students, churches, and thoughtful Christians through scholarship to strengthen Christ’s church.
Scholarship with a Pastoral Heart
CBTS Press exists to advance informed biblical and theological scholarship for the glory of God and the good of Christ’s church. Its publications will address important exegetical, historical, theological, and pastoral subjects within a Reformed Baptist confessional framework.
Faithful scholarship should deepen the church’s understanding of Scripture and equip Christians for faithful service. For this reason, CBTS Press seeks to publish works that are academically rigorous, confessionally grounded, and genuinely useful for ministry.
A Partnership with Broken Wharfe
CBTS Press is pleased to undertake this work in partnership with Broken Wharfe, a Reformed Baptist publisher based in the United Kingdom.
Through this partnership, CBTS Press will contribute to the publication of substantial biblical and theological works while benefiting from Broken Wharfe’s experience in editing, production, and distribution. Together, the two organizations share a commitment to serving Christ’s church through faithful Reformed Baptist scholarship.
Introducing Our First Publication
The first publication from CBTS Press is The Informed Scholar with a Pastoral Heart: Essays in Honor of Dr. Samuel E. Waldron. The volume brings together essays from colleagues, former students, and fellow laborers. Its chapters address subjects reflecting many of the central themes of Dr. Waldron’s ministry. Both the title and contents of the volume reflect a conviction that has shaped Dr. Waldron’s work: careful scholarship should always serve the church. In this way, the book provides a fitting beginning for CBTS Press and establishes the character of the publications we hope will follow.
The Informed Scholar with a Pastoral Heart is now available for order through Broken Wharfe.
Looking Ahead
The launch of CBTS Press represents an important step in the continuing mission of Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary. Through this new initiative, CBTS hopes to support faithful scholarship, encourage the spread of Reformed Baptist theology, and provide lasting resources for Christ’s church.
